Our Mission
About VisaMD
Helping international medical graduates navigate the US job market — with the visa, shortage area, and waiver data that actually matters.
What We Do
One place for visa-sponsored physician jobs
VisaMD aggregates physician job listings from hospitals, health systems, and federally qualified health centers across the United States. Each listing is automatically enriched with HPSA and MUA shortage area designations from HRSA, and mapped to applicable federal and state IGA waiver programs.
The result: international medical graduates can identify positions that support a J-1 waiver or H-1B sponsorship in seconds, rather than spending hours cross-referencing employer websites, HRSA databases, and state health department portals.
What's Included
Visa-Eligible Listings
Every position is tagged with J-1 waiver and H-1B sponsorship indicators so you can filter to only the opportunities that match your visa pathway — no manual research required.
HPSA & MUA Data
Health Professional Shortage Area and Medically Underserved Area designations from HRSA are matched to each listing, showing you at a glance whether a position qualifies for J-1 waiver consideration.
IGA Program Coverage
Federal and state Interest Group Agency programs are mapped to each position, so you can see which IGA sponsors are active in a given area and plan your waiver application accordingly.
How It Works
Data you can trust
- 1
We scrape public job boards and hospital career pages on a weekly basis, collecting active physician openings across all 50 states.
- 2
Each listing is matched against HRSA shortage area data and federal IGA program criteria to determine visa and waiver eligibility.
- 3
Results are published here, free, for any physician to search, filter, and explore — no account or subscription required.
